When we left Germany and moved to Tuscany, we weren’t simply changing countries. We were searching for a different way of living—slower mornings, meaningful conversations, fresh bread from the oven, evenings shared with friends, and the joy of having nowhere else to be.

Podere La Svolta was never just meant to be a place to stay. It was created to share this way of life with others.

Guests often arrive expecting beautiful Tuscan landscapes. They leave talking about something else entirely. They tell us they slept better than they have in months, forgot what silence sounds like, and lost track of time.

To us, that’s the greatest compliment.

Because true luxury isn’t measured in stars or perfection. It’s measured in how a place makes you feel.

The Limonaia

Surrounded by fragrant jasmine and overlooking the rolling olive hills, our antique Limonaia is a peaceful retreat in the heart of the garden.
Whether enjoying your morning coffee, a good book, or a glass of wine at sunset, it’s a place to slow down and simply enjoy the beauty of Tuscany.

Our cosy guest lounge is a welcoming space to relax at any time of the day. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, unwind with a good book, or simply take a moment to slow down in a comfortable and peaceful atmosphere.

Every great journey begins with a feeling.

After many years in demanding international careers, we realised we weren’t searching for a different job or simply a different country.
We were searching for a different way of living.
When we discovered Podere La Svolta, we instantly fell in love—not just with the old farmhouse, but with everything it represented. Surrounded by olive trees and rolling hills, it felt like a place where time slowed down and life became wonderfully uncomplicated.
Restoring the property became a true labour of love. Every room, every detail, every corner was carefully designed with one intention: to create a place where people feel genuinely welcome and completely at ease.
Today, Podere La Svolta is not only where we welcome guests from around the world.
It is our home.
A home we share with our two Shiba Inus, Kaya and Jilla, who are just as much a part of Podere La Svolta as we are. You will often find them quietly watching over the garden, greeting guests with gentle curiosity, or simply enjoying the Tuscan sunshine.
Nothing brings us more joy than seeing our guests relax into the slower rhythm of life here.
Again and again, they tell us they slept better than they have in months, forgot what silence sounds like, or simply lost track of time.
Those words remind us why we chose this life.
For us, hospitality has never been about providing a room.
It’s about creating a place where people feel at home.
